About the role
HR Manager | Kearny, NJ | MAC Products, Inc. Running HR for a union shop — handling every grievance, every benefits question, every audit — but never in the room when the decisions that create those problems get made? We should talk. MAC Products, a third-generation family-owned manufacturer in Kearny, NJ, needs an HR Manager to build our people function — not maintain someone else's. You'll own day-to-day CBA administration, report directly to our CEO, and have real input into how HR gets built across our NJ and NC facilities. This isn't a caretaker role. It's a build role.
Is this you?
→ Running HR inside a unionized manufacturing shop today — grievances, benefits, recruiting, mostly on your own→ 5+ years in that kind of role, including at least 3 in a union manufacturing environment→ Tired of finding out about a decision after it's already become a grievance→ Just as comfortable on the shop floor as in a negotiation prep meeting What you get: a direct line to the CEO, a real seat at the table, and the chance to build HR at a growing two-state manufacturer — not just run someone else's playbook.
Benefits:
Medical, dental (PPO or DMO options), and vision coverage; life insurance; 401(k); paid time off; FSA/DCFSA.If we just described you, let's have that first conversation.#HRManager #Labor Relations #Manufacturing Jobs #NJJobs #Union Relations #Human Resources
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
