About the role

Why You Want To Work Here This is a hands-on communications role focused on creating digital content, managing the organization’s website and social media channels, designing marketing and advocacy materials, and supporting communications campaigns that advance the organization’s mission. On a daily basis, you will write and edit content, develop graphics and presentations, monitor news and policy developments, and collaborate with teams across the organization to support internal and external communications efforts.
Responsibilities: Create content for blog posts, fact sheets, presentations, research reports, and other communications materials Manage the organization’s website and digital communications channels Plan, design, and execute promotional and advocacy campaigns Draft, edit, and distribute communications to members, stakeholders, and Capitol Hill Assist the Director of Media Relations and Communications with daily news monitoring on issues important to the organization and its members Provide cross-functional support for a variety of communications needs Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1–3 years of demonstrated communications experience with a business association, political campaign, congressional or executive branch office, corporate communications team, or public affairs agency Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and After Effects Experience with Word Press is required Experience with digital communications and social media Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills Highly organized, proactive, and able to follow through in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Interest in international trade, tax, and commerce is a plus
