What You'll Do: Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction administration Design steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements Coordinate directly with architects, owners, contractors, and project stakeholders Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support Perform occasional site visits and structural observations Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering and drafting staff Build and maintain strong client relationships Support business development efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the firm Collaborate with a team that values practical problem-solving and high-quality engineering
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience Experience designing commercial, institutional, industrial, or similar building structures Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of the NCEES 8-Hour Civil Structural Examination Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers Experience with construction administration and field observations Experience working directly with clients, architects, and contractors Interest in leadership and long-term career growth Preferred Software Experience Experience with one or more of the following: RISAENERCALCAutodesk Revit Bluebeam Equivalent structural analysis and design software experience will also be considered.
