Job Description: Job Description Distribution Center Shipper / Warehouse Shipper
Position Summary: Responsible for accurately counting and verifying all incoming and outgoing product loads, including returns, and loading baskets/trays of baked goods and related products onto route trucks. This position helps ensure products are properly handled, organized, and ready for delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment. Monitor products being shipped to ensure they meet Bimbo Bakeries USA quality standards. Accurately count and verify all incoming and outgoing product loads and returns. Notify a supervisor or manager of any product quality issues, overages, or shortages. Break down stacks of trays containing bread, muffins, bagels, and other baked goods. Arrange products for efficient loading and warehouse operations. Load baskets/trays of baked goods and related products onto route trucks. Complete required daily paperwork, including documenting adjustments, shorts, and overages. Verify loads and account for all products using computer applications. Communicate with Sales Management regarding daily activities and product/load concerns. Follow all warehouse safety and stacking procedures. Work cooperatively with coworkers and other team members. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.0–1 year of shipping or warehouse experience preferred. General understanding of accepted warehouse principles. Payrate: $16.00/hr.
Required Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to follow product stacking procedures. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be at least 21 years of age if required to operate a DOT-regulated vehicle.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. overhead. Must be able to push/pull at least 50 lbs. Must be able to stack products according to sales center procedures. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to climb, twist, bend, and perform other physical warehouse activities. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
