A well-established, mission-driven organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead and modernize its accounts payable function. This is an excellent opportunity for an AP leader who enjoys building scalable processes, improving controls, leading teams, and partnering closely with finance leadership on operational improvement initiatives. This position combines day-to-day ownership of the AP function with opportunities to contribute to broader finance transformation efforts, process improvement projects, and system optimization initiatives.
What You'll Do: Lead the end-to-end accounts payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, and reconciliations. Manage and develop AP team members, creating a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Support month-end close activities through account reconciliations, journal entries, accrual support, and variance analysis. Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams to improve workflows and strengthen operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the overall user experience for internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including systems enhancements and process redesign.
Ideal Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.2+ years of experience leading or supervising AP teams. Strong understanding of AP operations, vendor management, payment controls, and month-end close support. Experience working within ERP environments such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Exposure to AP automation tools and workflow systems is highly desirable.
