About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Learn each client’s business, goals, priorities, and technology environment
- Conduct regular client check-ins, QBRs, and strategic planning conversations
- Proactively communicate with clients and keep them informed
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within client environments
- Recommend technology improvements, upgrades, and services when appropriate
- Partner with service desk, engineering, and project teams
- Coordinate projects and service delivery to ensure expectations are met
- Track open items and proactively address anything falling behind
- Identify account growth opportunities based on genuine client needs
- 2+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Account Management, Customer Success, Client Services, or a similar IT-focused roleMSP or IT services experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of common SMB IT environments and technologies
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Comfortable discussing technology with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to recognize technology or service opportunities that benefit clients
- Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours support during critical incidents or projects
