Key Responsibilities: Inventory & Logistics: Unload fresh, cured, and boxed meats from delivery trucks using hand trucks. Quality Control: Maintain peak freshness by examining and rotating stock in storage to avoid aging. Sanitation & Safety: Use high-pressure hoses and brooms to keep grinders, containers, and storage rooms spotless and safe. Technical Precision: Safely operate specialized equipment, including meat slicers, heated wrapping stations, and cutlery.

Technical Skill: Experience-or a strong aptitude for-handling potentially hazardous kitchen and butchery equipment with delicacy and care. Team Player: A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to assist management and fellow associates to keep the store environment clean and safe. Why Join the Piggly Wiggly Meat Team? Flexible Part-Time Hours: Stable shifts that work with your lifestyle. Competitive Pay: Comparable wages that reflect your skill and hard work. Skill Building: Gain hands-on experience in one of the most specialized departments in the grocery industry. Ready to bring your best to our butcher block? Apply today!

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
