Exciting Opportunity: VP of Asset Management Candidate Location Preference: Brooklyn, NY (hybrid) – must live in the NYC area; ~25% travel nationallyCORY is hiring a strategic, results-driven VP of Asset Management in Brooklyn, NY. This is a unique opportunity to report directly to the CEO and drive performance across a growing national multifamily portfolio.
About Our Client: Our client is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management platform that acquires, repositions, and operates conventional multifamily properties nationwide.
Your Responsibilities: Set asset-level business plans, including hold/sell, repositioning, and value-add strategies Own budgets, reforecasts, and long-range projections to drive NOI and cash flow Hold property management teams accountable to leasing, pricing, and expense targets Underwrite and manage capital projects, renovations, and unit upgrades Partner with Capital Markets on refinancings, debt compliance, and lender reporting Support acquisitions and dispositions through diligence, underwriting, and transition Prepare investor, ownership, and lender reporting Lead and develop a team of two Asset Managers The Skills and Experience You Bring:10+ years of real estate asset management, including 5+ in a senior or supervisory role Conventional multifamily experience required; multi-market U.S. experience strongly preferred Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel/ARGUS); Yardi or Real Page experience Working knowledge of debt structures, loan covenants, and JV reporting Strong communicator who can present and influence at the CEO and ownership level Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus Perks and Benefits You'll Receive: Base salary up to $275k plus a 20% target annual bonus Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision, plus 401(k) with employer matchPTO and 12+ paid holidays Direct CEO access and influence over portfolio strategy How to Apply and Be Selected: Send your resume to resumes@coryexecutive.com, and our team will reach out with the following steps if selected.
