About the role
Great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to work for a global manufacturing technology leader located just outside Burlington, VT.Our client is a high-tech facilities manufacturer looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for fabrication & assembly processes, continuous improvement, tooling, and manufacturing and plant layouts.
Responsibilities:
- Process Development Project Management – ensuring completion from start to finish
- Supports and/or leads product launch activities
- Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
- Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
- Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
- Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
- Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
- Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or relevant experience At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment required
