About the role
Carrier Sales Rep You Talk Fast, Think Faster, and Always Find the Truck. Let's be real: carrier sales is not for everyone. It's loud, it's fast, and some days the phone doesn't stop ringing. But if that gets your blood pumping instead of giving you a headache, you might be exactly who we're looking for. At AFC, Carrier Sales Reps are the engine that makes freight move. You'll negotiate rates, build a killer carrier network, and make sure loads get covered, picked up, and delivered without a hitch. Every. Single. Day.
What You'll Do:
Build and manage a network of reliable carrier partners who actually answer the phone. Negotiate rates that protect margins and win freight. Track loads from pickup to delivery, handling exceptions like a pro. Work side-by-side with Account Managers to keep customers happy and freight moving. Use our TMS to keep everything tracked, documented, and squeaky clean. Solve problems before they become fires, and put out the ones that slip through.
What Success Looks Like:
Loads covered. On time. Every time. A carrier book that's deep, reliable, and ready to roll. Strong margins without cutting corners on service. The ops team trusts you to handle whatever comes next. What You Bring 0-3 years in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics. Negotiation skills that would make a used car dealer jealous. You thrive in chaos and actually enjoy the pace. Detail-oriented, organized, and you don't let things slip. Comfortable with TMS platforms and standard logistics tech. Why AFC A fast-paced floor where hard work gets recognized, not just expected. A team that works hard and actually likes each other. Real freight, real customers, real impact on the bottom line. Room to grow into leadership if you bring the results. The Bottom Line If you can negotiate with the best of them, keep your cool when things get hectic, and you genuinely love the grind of getting loads covered, we want you on our team. If you need someone to hold your hand, this ain't it. But if you're ready to compete? Game on. Apply now and tell us about the wildest load you ever covered.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
