About the role
Fenner Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the managing body of Fenner Nature Center, connects people to nature in the heart of Lansing through conservation, education, and stewardship. On May 9th Fenner Nature Center is hosting its inaugural World Migratory Bird Day Festival. This event will highlight bird conservation and biology to the Lansing community.https://sites.google.com/mynaturecenter.org/wmbd/We are in search of enthusiastic volunteers to help with educational booths, parking and festival upkeep. No qualifications are necessary. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. We hope to have you join us for this amazing day at Fenner Nature Center!
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
