Job Summary:
Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures. Performs basic automotive maintenance functions. Great growth and career opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials neededPerforms tire replacement or minor maintenance services Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as requiredTest tire balances to ensure proper weight placementPerforms short road test to ensure proper installationPerforms basic automotive maintenance functions such as oil and fluid changes. Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulationsDesired QualificationsHigh school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
Experience:
Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specificationsKnowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experienceCertifications: Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200.
