About the role

Position Overview: The Nicholas Family of Companies is seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to support the effective delivery of IT services across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary on-site liaison between employees, the Company's Managed Service Provider (MSP), and third-party technology vendors. The IT Operations Coordinator is responsible for facilitating technology support, managing conference room and collaboration technology, IT documentation, technology asset management, and day-to-day operational support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and eager to develop technical skills in a role that offers a pathway toward future growth within the IT department.
Primary Responsibilities: Serve as the primary on-site liaison between employees, the MSP, and technology vendors. Follow up on support requests requiring on-site assistance, equipment deployment, or business coordination. Facilitate communication between employees and service providers and escalate issues as needed. Schedule vendor visits, maintain vendor documentation, and assist in monitoring service delivery. Support conference room and collaboration technology through basic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors or the MSP.Maintain inventory records and lifecycle information for company technology assets. Coordinate equipment deployments, relocations, returns, and disposals. Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and operational records. Administer software licensing, technology procurement, onboarding/offboarding processes, and other administrative tasks. Manage technology readiness and workspace setups for new employees, office relocations, and facility changes. Support IT projects and operational initiatives across Company locations as directed by the IT Manager. Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, communication, and service delivery.
Qualifications: Required High school diploma Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Pursuing a career in Information Technology. Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience providing technology support in a professional environment. Familiarity with Windows operating systems and computer hardware. Experience with ticketing systems, documentation, or process development.
