About the role
- Directly aligns with the Morristown Landing's Mission Statement and Core Values
- Complete rounds on the fitness floor such as equipment upkeep, cleaning, checking in on members/guests needs, etc.
- Maintain the fitness area computer system
- Greet members and guests and provide prompt answers and directions as needed
- Cultivate an environment of world-class fitness instruction with enthusiasm to all Morristown Landing visitors, members, and customers
- Be knowledgeable about prices, programming, and the daily venue schedule
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of participant waivers, event information and incident reports
- Work to resolve all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager
- Help provide guest feedback/concerns medium for communication, and direct that feedback to the appropriate supervisor
- Understand and help enforce Morristown Landing's policies and procedures
- Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management
- High School Diploma, GED or bachelor's degree in exercise science, health education, public health or related field is preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in a sport/fitness center or customer service
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
- Highly recommend CPR/AED/First Aid certification - currently holding or willing to become certified
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent guest service skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to operate and use all equipment in facilities
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
- Will be required to operate a computer and phone
- Must wear proper uniform
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
