About the role
Turn your passion for music into meaningful impact on students! Cross Country Education is looking for a Music Therapist to bring engaging, evidence-based music interventions to K–12 students in Wolcott, NY, helping them build skills and achieve their individual goals.
Position Overview:
Provide individualized and group music therapy services to K–12 students based on their educational, developmental, behavioral, and therapeutic needs. Develop and implement music-based interventions and treatment strategies to support students communication, social-emotional, cognitive, and functional goals. Monitor student progress and adjust music therapy interventions to support individual goals and changing needs. Collaborate with educators and other members of the student support team to coordinate services and promote student progress.
Qualifications:
Adhere to AMTA Standards of Clinical Practice and Code of Ethics. Masters degree in Music Therapy or the equivalent. Board certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) New York State license in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT) or LCAT-eligible.
