Annual Base Salary: $105,000–$125,000 Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to grow hotel revenue, develop new business, and strengthen relationships with key accounts. We’re looking for a proactive hospitality sales professional who combines strong prospecting skills with thoughtful account management and a proven ability to convert opportunities into profitable business.
The Role: The Senior Sales Manager will manage a portfolio of accounts and pursue new opportunities across assigned market segments, including group, business travel, entertainment, and luxury travel. This position requires a hands-on approach to sales, a strong understanding of the New York City hotel market, and the ability to represent Gansevoort with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities: Generate new business through targeted prospecting, sales calls, networking, industry events, and client outreach. Maximize Group bookings and group ADR.Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel advisors, planners, agencies, and other account partners. Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and operational handoff. Meet or exceed individual revenue and production goals while supporting the hotel’s overall commercial strategy. Conduct engaging site inspections and client presentations tailored to each account’s needs. Partner with Revenue Management to evaluate opportunities, pricing, availability, and account performance. Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure accurate communication of client requirements and a consistent guest experience. Maintain accurate account records, sales activity, pipeline updates, and forecasts. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities. Support repeat business through timely follow-up and ongoing relationship management.
Qualifications: At least five years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within luxury or lifestyle properties. Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving revenue goals. Strong knowledge of the NYC hospitality market; established client relationships are highly desirable. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills. Experience managing contracts, account production, and sales pipelines. Proficiency with hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with hotel leadership and operational teams. Flexibility to work schedules to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays. Flexibility to attend client events, networking functions, and occasional business travel. Compensation The annual base salary range is $105,000–$125,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
