About the role

*No C2C*IT Software Engineer 4 – Senior SDETKey Responsibilities Extend and enhance existing test automation frameworks using Java and JavaScript. Take ownership of understanding business requirements and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans. Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using existing automation frameworks. Develop test automation code supporting Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) of systems, infrastructure, and testing frameworks. Design, develop, and maintain API test automation frameworks to support automated scripting, execution, and analysis of test results. Develop automated functional test scripts using technologies such as Java, Karate, and JMeter. Perform exploratory and manual testing of software products when necessary. Lead and mentor test engineers across multiple applications and projects, including onshore and offshore teams. Train team members on creating, executing, analyzing, and maintaining automated regression test suites. Collaborate with product owners to resolve issues, enhancements, and system upgrades. Provide expertise in testing methodologies, automation best practices, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.8–10+ years of relevant software testing and test automation experience. At least 8 years of experience designing and developing test automation frameworks. Required Technical SkillsStrong design and development experience in two or more of the following technologies:
  • Java (3–5 years)
  • Cucumber (3–5 years)JBehave or other Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing frameworks.
  • Strong experience testing web services and REST APIs.
  • Proven ability to develop test scripts, test cases, and test data.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.3+ years of experience developing scenario-based performance testing using JMeter.
  • Experience with full-stack testing and third-party integration testing.
  • End-to-end system integration testing experience across software platforms.
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Python. Development experience within AWS Cloud environments. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and code review practices. Experience with Apigee or other API gateway technologies. Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools, including CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git. At least 2 years of experience working within Agile teams. Understanding of Agile/Lean methodologies. Knowledge of microservices architecture. Experience with load and performance testing. Strong technical documentation skills.
Soft Skills: Ability to quickly adapt to complex technical environments. Proactive, flexible, and creative problem-solving approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
