This role is responsible for expertly winding coils used in one-phase and three-phase dry type transformers. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities:
Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions with regards to the operation of winding coils. Ensure safe and proper start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment. Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices. Handle material, use hand/power tools, use a torch during soldering conformity of coils to ERMCO standards. Follow all ERMCO safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed written and verbal instructions effectively Proficiency in using iPads and other electronic communication devices Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with an emphasis on open communication Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail Competence in basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units Knowledge and application of proper lifting techniques Manual dexterity to grasp, reach, and handle diverse tools, materials, and components Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers (both digital and manual)Proficiency with hand and power tools including cordless drills, air ratchets, wrenches, pliers, and hammers Ability to operate overhead hoists and lift-assist equipment safely Physical capability to lift/push over 50 lbs. and pull up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand and walk frequently, with occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling Visual acuity of 20/40 (with or without corrective lenses), normal peripheral vision at least 70 degrees, depth perception, and focus adjustment Adherence to all plant safety policies, procedures, and department-specific safety rules Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety toe shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, weld hood, and hearing protection 3 Years of Consistent work history 1 year of manufacturing experience Job LocationsUS-TN-Celina
