About the role
To support communication access for the deaf and hard of hearing community, the full-time or part-time Minnesota Licensed Communication Assistant will facilitate relay calls between deaf or hard of hearing individuals and hearing individuals in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
Accept and place relay calls, ensuring high-quality service delivery to all consumers
Transcribe and relay messages accurately while maintaining consumer confidentiality
Utilize telephone and relay processing equipment to communicate effectively between parties
Required qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to type at 60 words per minute with 95% accuracy
Availability to work varied schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Excellent customer service experience and a calm demeanor
