Position Summary:
Amos Mfg. is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective customers while driving long-term business growth. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their operational challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending equipment and system solutions that support material recovery and landfill diversion goals. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused professional with strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts and prospective customers Engage customers through phone calls, email, social media, virtual meetings, and in-person visits Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, pain points, and operational objectives Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term account growth strategies Prepare and present customized proposals that demonstrate economic and environmental benefits Collaborate with engineering, product development, and field service teams to recommend customer-specific solutions Manage and maintain customer information, opportunities, and sales activities within CRM systems Represent Amos Mfg. at trade shows, conferences, and industry events Monitor market trends, recycling initiatives, sustainability practices, and regulatory developments Support contract discussions, project coordination, and customer follow-up activities Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales and implementation process Travel as needed to meet with customers and support business development activities Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Relationship-building and customer engagement expertise Consultative and solution-based selling techniques Effective negotiation and influencing abilities Presentation and proposal development skills CRM software and digital sales tool proficiency Time management and organizational skills Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Professional networking and business development capabilities Knowledge Industrial equipment, machinery, or manufacturing processes Recycling, waste management, and material recovery industries Sustainability initiatives and landfill diversion strategies Strategic account management principles Business-to-business sales processes and sales cycle management Customer relationship management systems Market trends and industry developments Equipment applications and operational improvement opportunities Ability to Implement Translate customer challenges into practical equipment solutions Develop strategic account plans that support business growth Build credibility and trust with decision-makers and stakeholders Manage multiple customer accounts and projects simultaneously Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams Analyze customer requirements and recommend customized solutions Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner Adapt to changing customer needs and market conditions Travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, recycling, waste management, or related industries Proven success in account management, business development, or consultative sales Experience working with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience Benefits Competitive pay based on competency 100% employer-paid health insurance and HSA for employees Flexible paid time off and holidays 401(k) with employer matching Discretionary bonuses Join Our Team We are excited to welcome new talent to our team!
