About the role
Office Manager – Legal Services Green Key Resources is working with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee day-to-day office operations for its Washington, DC location. This is a highly visible role for an organized, proactive professional who enjoys taking ownership of office administration, facilities, vendors, and employee support. The ideal candidate will have strong office management experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day office administration and supervise DC-based administrative staff.
Coordinate with office leadership and administrative teams to ensure smooth and consistent operations.
Manage office space planning, maintenance, renovations, and facilities needs.
Serve as a primary point of contact for building management, vendors, and service providers.
Maintain office seating plans and coordinate workspaces for new hires.
Troubleshoot issues involving office equipment, technology, phones, copiers, and other workplace resources in coordination with internal IT teams.
Oversee office supply inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
Maintain preferred vendor relationships and coordinate office-related services.
Support emergency response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Coordinate with Human Resources on required office compliance postings and employee-related needs.
Develop and deliver training related to office procedures, equipment, conference rooms, supplies, and other administrative processes.
Support records management policies and procedures, including retention, protection, retrieval, and disposal of records.
Assist with new hire onboarding by coordinating office space, equipment, and other workplace needs.
Coordinate internal and external meetings and office events.
Take on additional administrative and operational projects as needed.
Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant office management or administrative operations experience.
Experience supervising or coordinating administrative staff.
Experience in a law firm, professional services, or similarly fast-paced professional environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
Strong vendor management and customer service skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Flexible, collaborative, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
