Description: The Quality Inspection Lead will work in the Internal Quality Team on military/ aerospace products. The position will be responsible for activities that effectively identify, manage, and report the status of products and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in the Aerospace/Defense Industries. Manage the schedule for the Quality Inspection TeamRun Tier 1 meetings for the Quality Inspection TeamAttend Tier 2 meetings as the Quality Inspection LeadLead and manage a small team of Quality Inspectors Schedule Source Inspection and interface with the source inspectors Upload and manage Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) into customer portals Inspect cable and harness assemblies to ensure they are built to specified requirements. Ensure paperwork is filled out correctly and completely. Perform First Article Inspections as required to ensure first builds are compliant with specified requirements.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of inspection and testing equipment
  • Knowledge and experience of various computer applications
  • Detail-oriented, quality metric-driven, and have a high degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Must be a US person for US Department of Defense work
  • Familiarity of AS9100 and ISO9000:2001 a plus
  • Attention to detail and asking 'why' is required
  • Familiarity with Military or Medical products/procedures is a plus
  • Associate's degree preferred. HS diploma minimum
  • Technical training in or knowledge of fiber optics is a plus
