EDM Operator Details: Temp-to-Hire position$ 23.00 / hour Full Time work available First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm) Write programs, implement functions, and burn details to meet engineering and production specifications. Operate EDM equipment safely and efficiently. Perform general preventive maintenance on EDM equipment as recommended by the manufacturer. Inspect and verify finished products to ensure they meet original specifications and requirements. Monitor, control, and properly dispose of EDM wire and related supplies. Assist the Tool Room with various tasks as needed and directed. Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, diagrams, schedules, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve practical machining and production issues.
EDM Operator Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 35 years of experience as a Toolmaker or EDM Machinist.
Experience in a metal stamping or automotive supplier environment is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, operating instructions, maintenance manuals. Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a variety of variables and instructions.
Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
