About the role

Equipment Operator Wood Resources is a provider of equipment operators who are responsible for the safe operation of equipment, i.e., front-end loaders, excavators. Must be able to work in Algiers, Harahan, Waggaman, Donaldsonville, and Hahnville. Equipment operators are required to: Operate excavator to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction. Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment Complete daily equipment inspections Communicate with customers and employees Follow all company safety rules and regulations while performing duties
Job requirements: Adhere to company attendance policy Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Must have reliable transportation to designated Wood Resources locations Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age 1-3 years of experience
Physical requirements: Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
