This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the fiscal support team, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and budget analysis.
Ensure compliance with state financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provide financial guidance and training to staff on best practices and systems. Assist in the preparation of budget requests and reports for executive review.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial needs are met.
Knowledge and Skills:
Solid understanding of state fiscal management practices and accounting systems. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to review complex financial documents and identify discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Three years of experience in fiscal support, accounting, or financial management.
One year of supervisory experience.
