Pathology Transcriptionist
Location: Teaneck, NJContract: 13 weeks | No anticipated extension or conversion
Start Date: ASAP upon successful completion of all required onboarding and clearance requirements This is a 13-week, 100% onsite assignment. Candidates must have at least 1 year of pathology office/pathology-related experience. Candidates must have experience with medical terminology and medical transcription/documentation. Pathology terminology experience is required. Candidates must type 45-50 WPM and demonstrate strong transcription/proofreading accuracy. Typical workload includes approximately 50 reports/cases transcribed or proofread per day and approximately 15-20 reference lab/consultation cases per day. The role supports Tumor Board, Surgical Review Committee, consultation cases, and other internal conferences approximately 2-3 times per week. Power Path LIS and WebHIS experience are preferred; candidates must be comfortable learning these systems if they have not previously used them. Minimum 1 year of pathology office or directly related pathology experience required. Experience with medical terminology and pathology terminology required. Experience performing medical transcription, proofreading, and/or medical documentation processing required. Experience supporting a Pathology department, Pathologists, or comparable pathology workflow required. Experience working in a high-volume, detail-intensive healthcare environment. Experience managing multiple documentation and administrative priorities simultaneously.
