Location: IU CountywideAt the present time, vacancies for Foreign Language Interpreter positions for all languages exist within the Student Services Division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. At this time, the CCIU is searching for candidates fluent in K'iche'.
Qualifications: High School Diploma requiredFluency in Spanish requiredExperience with educational interpretation strongly preferredOriginal criminal history clearance, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprint clearance (dated within the year), clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Duties & Responsibilities: CCIU foreign language interpreters provide interpretation in educational settings, including, but not limited to:
  • IEP meetingsEvaluationsIn-home and classroom visitsDisciplinary hearingsParent-teacher conferencesOpen housesPSSA/Keystone ExamsSchedule:
  • Up to 260 Days/year, 5 days per week, 3 hours/daySchedule will be as needed and on an on-call basisFlexible based on the hours candidates are availableHourly Rate:
  • Support, Band 12: $26.55/hour - $33.19/hr.*Placement on salary scale determined based upon years of relevant experience**Compensation provided for travel to and from meeting locations*Location:
