The role focuses on consultative selling, relationship development, and advisor practice growth, while partnering closely with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Product Consultants, and internal product partners to deliver consistent, comprehensive coverage across the region.Responsibilities:Proactive Sales: Educate and engage advisors on assigned Wealth Management products through proactive outbound and responsive inbound interactions across defined advisor channels. Support advisors with product features and benefits, competitive analysis, and product positioning to enable effective sales strategies and drive adoption. Manage and grow relationships with assigned advisor segments, emphasizing engagement, solution adoption, and revenue growth.Collaboration - Execute regional sales and product consulting strategies aligned with RVP direction and broader business priorities. Collaborate with other Product Consultants across advisor tiers to ensure seamless coverage, coordinated service, and appropriate escalation of complex or strategic situations. Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to support advisor needs and continuously improve the quality of advice, tools, processes, and sales strategies.Administration: Support data driven territory planning, pipeline management, activity tracking, and regional performance objectives. Accurately document advisor activity and pipeline information in Salesforce and manage business expenses in Concur, in accordance with firm guidelines.These roles are located in our Minneapolis office. There are two positions available, one supporting AFG mid-Atlantic region and the other supporting AAG West region. Required Qualifications:7-10 years of relevant experienceBachelor's degree or equivalentSeries 7, 63 & 65 (or 66) required upon hireAbility to travel (~20-30%) to support team and client needsPreferred Qualifications:7-10 years' experience in financial services industry, ideally in a selling role focused on financial sales, or wholesaling, with demonstrated advisor relationship management experienceDeep subject matter expertise on selling all Advisory Products with a focus on the Signature Wealth PlatformStrong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines and software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with CRM (e.g. Sales Force)Proficiency in demonstrating a consultative sales processExcellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate and manage comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment Extensive knowledge of advisory products and services, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and conciselyStrong consultative sales, communication, and presentation skills, including effectiveness in one on one and occasional large group settingsProven ability to manage multiple advisor relationships while executing sales strategy and business prioritiesCFP, ChFC, CRPC, CEBS, RIPC or similar retirement industry designationsExcellent understanding of various facets of the Ameriprise organization; including insight into various business units and the field organizationVisa SponsorshipApplicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
