About the role
Our client is actively seeking a Data Analyst for their growing team based in downtown Chicago, ILThis opportunity will be onsite 3 days per week in the Loop
Summary:
Under supervision, evaluates, transforms, and summarizes data in support of programs. Assist in maintaining data integration, data processing, and data analysis to meet the strategic and operational needs of the organization. Creates ongoing analytical reports and Ad Hoc reports; assists in designing and implementing data reporting and visualization using Power BI.Day to Day Assists in the maintenance and quality of data used in the annual review of residency programs. Works in data preparation, reconciliation, reporting and analytic tasks required to meet business needs and requirements. Assists in the design of dashboard representation of various data, clearly showing data driven cut-offs and threshold criteria Creates ad hoc reports or data files in response to specific data inquiries. Works with multiple large datasets as needed to drive analytic, graphical, and dashboard solutions. Develops, codes, and maintains SQL/SAS applications that are used for data analysis and reporting. Investigates invalid/erroneous data sources by identifying root causes of data integrity issues. Collaborates with development team and database administrators to implement corrective action.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related field. Three years’ prior experience in data management and data analysis. Two years’ prior experience using Power BI or similar visualization software Preferred Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, other related field. Prior work experience in medical education or health care. Prior SAS experience. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS, AND ABILITIESGenerates creative solutions to existing data analysis and data display problems using Power BI or similar visualization software. Understanding of database structure and design. Conceptualize and performs data analysis and have experience generating custom reports; knowledge of Excel. Comfortable with ambiguity, variability, and change in business requirements. Possess the skills to generate multiple effective solutions that address specific data and analytic needs. Comfortable generating multiple solutions to data analysis and data display challenges. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; must be able to shift priorities as organizational demands require.
