About the role

Reports to the SVP, Transportation, at a premier third-party logistics provider with over 25 years in business, offering drayage, warehousing, and logistics services. Responsible for the launch, development, and implementation of an aggressive growth plan for the logistics division. Will work in coordination with other company business units, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the branch, establish management processes and metrics for performance, and be accountable for financial and growth performance of the branch. Assist in cultivating a book of business to find additional opportunities to earn additional business from existing customers. Support sales efforts to attain new business opportunities by developing strategies for referrals, niche markets, and product offerings to meet potential customers' needs. Execute a defined business plan for the sales and operations teams. Evaluate performance on an ongoing basis. Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring within a collaborative environment. The challenge is to build a world-class team, develop a high-level service offering, motivate and lead staff, while optimizing costs, increasing revenues, and maximizing profitability.
