Summary:
Prepare and process steel materials for fabrication by reading shop prints and identifying material by size and specification.
Work closely with engineers, burn table operators, and welders to ensure accurate material flow and job readiness.
Operate a variety of shop equipment in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop prints and work orders.
- Identify, stage, and prepare materials based on size and job requirements.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, burn table workers, and welders.
- Operate material prep and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Maintain attention to detail and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
2–3 years of experience in steel fabrication, material prep, or a related industrial environment required.
Strong understanding of material handling and shop print interpretation.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Comfortable working on your feet and handling materials in an industrial setting.
Commitment to teamwork, communication, and quality workmanship. • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
