Tool Room Technician-1st Shift 7am-3:30pmJOB SUMMARY:Perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gaugers, and hand toolsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform preventive maintenance of all tools. Set up and run Bridgeport’s, lathers, and surface grinders Clean the tool surfaces with the approved products. Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical comparators, ring and thread gauges. Inspect for, and document, any defects or damage identified. Use the Cold Jet tool cleaning system when applicable Support production departments in repairing, adjusting and maintaining all forms of equipment Clear all waste and cleaning products when complete Mope any grease, oil, dirt, etc. generated during the PM from machine surfaces Perform housekeeping of the tool and die area Order necessary materials to perform the assigned PM'sAssist others in the cleaning/ repairing of molds out of the pressPERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:Demonstrated ability to write legibly, to maintain records, and follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safely precautions. Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, drawings for part specifications, charts, tables, and all varieties of precision measuring instruments. Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Understanding of basic computer programs. Comfortable in the use of walkie sand sit down forklift. Training to be provided if necessary. Able to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
