Founded and led by Dr. Violeta Radenovich, the area’s only female, U.S. residency- and fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist, we deliver top-tier eye care in a warm, child-friendly setting. With an on-site optical boutique dedicated exclusively to children, we provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and vision solutions—all under one roof. We are seeking an experiencedPediatric Opticianwho loves working with children and can thrive in an exceptionally busy, high-volume optical environment.
Our optical serves approximately80–120 patients per day between a team of 2–3 opticians. This position requires someone who is energetic, efficient, confident, and able to provide excellent service while working at a fast pace.
Job Summary:
The Pediatric Optician will help children and their parents select, fit, and purchase eyewear while providing accurate measurements, adjustments, and dispensing.
The ideal candidate hasprior hands-on optician and frame-styling experience, excellent customer service skills, and a natural ability to connect with children of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Style and recommend frames based on facial features, prescription, fit, age, and lifestyle
Measure, fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear accurately
Work comfortably with infants, toddlers, children, and teenagers
Educate parents on frame and lens options
Handle repairs, warranties, special orders, and exchanges
Assist with insurance verification and optical checkout
Maintain an organized and well-stocked frame display
Receive, tag, organize, and restock inventory
Follow up on eyewear orders and pickups
Communicate with labs and vendors as needed
Work closely with the pediatric ophthalmology team to provide a seamless patient experience
Required QualificationsPrevious optician experience required
Previous frame-styling experience required
Experience with eyewear measurements, fitting, adjustments, and dispensing
Must genuinely enjoy working with children
Strong customer service and communication skills
Able to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
Comfortable using optical POS, inventory, and computer systems
ABO certification is a plus.
