About the role

About the Job: We are looking for an Epitaxy Engineer to support MOCVD growth of III-V semiconductor materials for laser and photonic devices, including DFBs and EMLs. This role will support both production and R&D, with a focus on MOCVD growth, process improvement, troubleshooting, and material quality. You will work closely with experienced epitaxy, process, device, and equipment engineers in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform MOCVD epitaxial growth of III-V semiconductor materials for production and R&DMonitor and improve growth processes for material quality, consistency, and device performance Troubleshoot MOCVD process and support improvements in reactor uptime Support development and optimization of growth recipes for existing and new products Analyze epitaxial material characterization data and investigate material/device issues Work closely with process, device, equipment, and production teams Maintain accurate process records, work instructions, and technical documentation Follow established quality and safety procedures Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in III-V epitaxy/MOCVD preferredBS, MS, or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field Experience with MOCVD reactor operation, epitaxial growth, process monitoring, or troubleshooting Experience with semiconductor lasers, photonics, or optoelectronic devices is a plus Familiarity with epitaxial material characterization is preferred Strong problem-solving and communication skills Comfortable working in a hands-on, cross-functional manufacturing environment
