About the role
- Properly inspect inbound trucks for proper cleanliness and product temperatures once they are assigned a door.
- Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications.
- Ensures that shipper BOLs and our receiving paperwork match.
- Sort and segregate all items on each load.
- Properly count and tags each pallet with pallet license plate for correct item being received.
- Properly enter correct pack/expire dates on products received.
- Enter proper weights on random weight items.
- Inputs stock items into computer/scan gun and stores produce in the assigned location in or around warehouse.
- Ensures all picks (slot locations) are full and ready for each warehouse shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience and Skill Requirements:6 months or more experience with electric sit-down forklift and pallet jack.
- Ability to pick up, turn and lift 30-40 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required.
- Effective listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Effectively work as a team member and independently as needed.
- Positive, can-do attitude team player with a strong work ethic.
- Work in a refrigerated environment.
