Interested in helping enterprise organizations securely adopt generative and agentic AI?We are partnering with a nationally recognized consulting firm seeking a senior AI Security Architect to lead client-facing security work across generative AI platforms, copilots, custom agents, and emerging agentic technologies. This is a hands-on architecture and advisory role requiring strong technical security depth along with the ability to communicate effectively with CISOs and senior technology leaders. Key Details
Level: Architect / Senior Architect Structure: Approximately 6-month contract-to-hire
Preferred Locations: New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles
Secondary Locations: Seattle, Minneapolis, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and other major U.S. office markets
Remote: Strong remote U.S. candidates may be considered
Travel: Some client travel may be required (0-15%)
Rate: Open and competitive based on experience
What You’ll Do: Lead security assessments of GenAI platforms, copilots, custom agents, and agentic AI solutions Assess identity, permissions, data exposure, DLP, integrations, APIs, monitoring, and AI platform configurations Evaluate architectures involving RAG, AI gateways, agent orchestration, MCP, vector databases, connectors, and tool-enabled workflows Identify security gaps, excessive permissions, misconfigurations, and weak governance controls Develop practical AI security architectures, controls, governance models, and prioritized remediation roadmaps Lead client workshops, technical assessments, and executive presentations Translate complex AI security findings into clear business risks and actionable recommendations
What We’re Looking For: Hands-on experience securing or assessing enterprise generative AI or agentic AI environments Strong cybersecurity architecture background across identity, data protection, cloud security, application security, and monitoring Knowledge of modern AI architectures such as RAG, agents, APIs/connectors, MCP, AI gateways, or vector databases Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM guidance, MITRE ATLAS, or ISO 42001 Strong consulting or client-facing experience; consulting backgrounds are particularly relevant Ability to confidently work with CISOs, CIOs, AI leaders, and senior technology stakeholders Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, cloud security, or AI security/governance credentials are a plus.
