About the role
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct patient visits, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications in accordance with scope of practice
- Manage preventive care, health maintenance, and patient education
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, including quality improvement initiatives with the pharmacy team
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Participate in academic activities, including the potential to precept Nurse Practitioner students
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York StatePrior experience in primary care or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Interest in academic practice, teaching, and collaborative care models
