About the role
Our client, a well-established performing arts nonprofit in Birmingham, needs a finance professional to be the steady hand behind the curtain. Your work will make sure every performance, youth education program, and community outreach effort rests on accurate, well-run finances. This is an on-site role where your numbers directly fuel the arts in your community.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing AP, AR, and GL in Quick Books Online, including daily bill payments
Performing GL, bank, and credit card reconciliations
Coordinating payroll information with an outsourced payroll provider
Administering background screening, including coordination with immigration counsel for international employees
Supporting budgeting through expense tracking and variance reporting
Assisting with board financial reports and outside audit and 990 requests
Providing finance support during seasonal performances
What You’ll Need to be Considered
Quick Books Online proficiency, ready to manage AP, AR, and GL from day one
Payroll experience across several different classes of employees
Discretion and maturity with sensitive, confidential situations
Self-direction to manage your own hours with minimal oversight
Performing arts experience is a strong plus
