Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Chemical Engineer at Reline America, LLC. The Chemical Engineer will support the development, optimization, and quality control of UV GRP liners and related CIPP products, collaborating closely with manufacturing, R&D, and quality teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and refining chemical formulations, reviewing process parameters, analyzing material performance data, and troubleshooting issues related to resin systems and curing processes. The role involves preparing technical documentation, test plans, and reports; interpreting laboratory and field test results; and recommending process improvements to enhance product reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The Chemical Engineer will also coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and help ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable regulations.
Qualifications: Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis to support product and process optimization. Laboratory skills such as handling chemicals safely, conducting material and resin testing, using analytical instruments, and documenting experimental results accurately. Experience or familiarity with the chemical industry, preferably in polymers, composites, resins, or related manufacturing environments. Process engineering capabilities, including process design or improvement, understanding of curing and polymerization processes, and support of scale-up from lab to production. Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and prepare concise technical documentation and reports. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety practices in chemical and manufacturing settings.
