Job Description: Our client, a building maintenance service is seeking an HR Benefits Assistant. This is a long-term temp position with potential to convert to a perm position. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm and fully onsite. The pay rate is $28.00 per hour. Bilingual Spanish is plus.

Position Summary
The HR Benefits: Assistant supports the administration of employee benefit programs, such as extended leave for FMLA or disability coverage. This role assists employees with benefits questions, maintains accurate records, supports enrollment processes, and works closely with other members of the HR department.
Key Responsibilities: Assist employees with questions regarding FMLA and disability coverage. Obtain required information Send leave packages Track leave packages and when received add information into HRIS system. Support new-hire benefits enrollment and qualifying life event changes. Maintain accurate employee benefits records and documentation. Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and benefits systems. Assist with annual open enrollment activities and employee communications. Prepare employee communications. Ensure required benefits documentation is completed and maintained. Assist with audits and compliance-related activities. Protect confidential employee and benefits information. Provide general administrative support to the HR/Benefits team.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 1–2 years of HR, benefits or administrative experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with an HRIS or benefits administration system is a plus. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
