About the role
We are HIRING ASAP for AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER to support the testing & verification of embedded avionics systems! MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING HYBRID (REMOTE & ONSITE IN LAB), in CLEARWATER, FL. This is an estimated 12+ month long temporary W2 contract, with health, dental, and vision benefits enrollment offered immediately from the start of employment on contract. The Systems Engineer will be support military avionics communication systems development. Will be responsible for requirements testing, integration testing, hardware-software testing, data validation and Problem Report investigations. This will be work within the aerospace industry for military programs.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be committed to working a long term W2 contract, and working hybrid in Clearwater, FLBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline 5+ years of avionics, aerospace, or embedded systems engineering experience. Experience with avionics interface design and integration for aircraft systems, as well as requirements testing, integration testing, hardware-software testing, data validation and Problem Report investigation Strong understanding of aircraft communication protocols, including: ARINC 429 Ethernet-based avionics networks MIL-STD-1553 Serial communications (RS-422/RS-485) Experience defining and documenting system requirements, interface requirements, and I/O allocations. Experience developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and data definitions. Knowledge of any safety-critical development standards such as: DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761 This position does NOT require a Secret Clearance, but candidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
