About the role

Position Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen quality throughout its vehicle manufacturing and restoration operations. This position is responsible for developing quality standards, improving inspection processes, resolving recurring defects, and ensuring every completed vehicle meets company expectations for craftsmanship, performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Manager will work closely with engineering, fabrication, body and paint, assembly, upholstery, supply chain, production, and service teams. This leader must be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where attention to detail and consistent execution are essential.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards across the complete vehicle-build process. Lead incoming, in-process, final, and pre-delivery vehicle inspections. Establish inspection checkpoints for fabrication, bodywork, paint, electrical systems, interiors, mechanical assembly, fit and finish, and vehicle performance. Identify defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Create standardized inspection procedures, quality checklists, work instructions, and acceptance criteria. Partner with production leaders to prevent defects rather than relying solely on final inspection. Track quality performance, recurring defects, rework, warranty claims, and customer concerns. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction. Manage nonconforming materials, components, and completed work. Work with purchasing and suppliers to resolve component-quality and delivery issues. Participate in new product introductions, engineering changes, and process reviews. Ensure quality requirements are considered during vehicle design and process development. Conduct layered process audits and verify that corrective actions remain effective. Train employees on quality

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
