About the role
Leading the technical development and strategic management of packaging, the full-time Senior Packaging Engineering Manager will oversee packaging from concept through commercialization and procurement, ensuring sustainability and quality in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
Own packaging development from concept through commercialization for new product launches, including material selection and production scale-up
Lead packaging trials and performance testing to ensure compliance with all requirements
Develop and manage the strategic sourcing and procurement strategy for the packaging portfolio, including supplier identification and negotiationsRequired qualificationsBachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 7+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated expertise in developing and commercializing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with experience in supplier negotiations and cost modeling
Experience in sourcing packaging within home care, personal care, beauty, or food & beverage sectors
Familiarity with various packaging types, including glass, flexible, and sustainable alternatives
