Job Description:
Job Description The Heavy Diesel Mechanic specializes in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy trucks, construction machinery, and mixed fleet equipment. This role involves both independent work and collaboration within small teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. Occasional on-site visits may be required, but there is no extensive travel involved.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engine repairs and hydraulic system maintenance
- Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing
- Troubleshoot electrical and brake system issues
- Repair fuel systems and perform welding and fabrication tasks
- Replace worn or damaged parts and inspect equipment for safety and reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entry-level experience in heavy diesel mechanics
- Vocational training in diesel mechanics or related fields
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair and hydraulic system maintenance
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and brake system repair
- Experience with fuel injection systems, welding, and fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and time management
