About the role

Job Title: Data Center Lead (MEP / Electrical / Automation) Duration: 24-month to start (project likely to go through 2031) Locations: Project deployment: IN and/or PA (with additional sites possible) Compensation: Includes GSA allowance (~$3,500/month) Overview We are seeking experienced Data Center Leads to support large-scale data center commissioning projects in partnership with our Construction client. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing critical systems and ensuring successful startup and operation of mission‑critical infrastructure. This opportunity is part of a rapidly growing project pipeline, with an initial team of 3 hires expanding to as many as 20 professionals over the coming months. Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning and operational readiness activities for data center infrastructure Oversee MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components Support startup, testing, and validation of critical systems (power, cooling, automation) Coordinate with construction, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure project milestones are met Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive resolution in a fast‑paced environment Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to onsite teams and subcontractors Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or large‑scale infrastructure projects Strong expertise in at least one of the following, with preference for multi‑disciplinary experience: MEP systems, Automation / controls systems Proven leadership experience in commissioning, operations, or construction environments Experience with startup, commissioning (Cx), or critical systems validation strongly preferred Ability to work on‑site and relocate as required Structured onboarding/training in Cedar Rapids before deployment to active project sites Significant growth opportunity as project team scales throughout the year #J-18808-Ljbffr
