About the role
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee changes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies
- Prepare employment documents, reports, and HR correspondence
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements
- Support employee relations initiatives and HR projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred
- Payroll processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with benefits administration
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and employment regulations
