About the role

Are you a proud pet parent who treats your pets like family? We're a fast-growing pet insurance comparison business helping customers easily compare and purchase coverage. We plan to expand our offerings beyond insurance with additional financial products in the near future. We're building a world-class content engine behind the business, and we're looking for a Pet Content Editor to scale our published content.
What You'll Do:
  • Help manage the editorial production calendar
  • Fact-check content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Work with writers, editors, freelancers, and subject matter experts
  • Ensure articles are published accurately, on time, and to a high-quality standard
  • Follow editorial workflows, SOPs, QA systems, and publishing processes
  • Assist with large-scale content updates and refresh projects
  • Work closely with SEO, marketing, product, and partnerships teams
  • Maintain editorial consistency, tone, formatting, and compliance standards
  • Use AI-assisted editorial systems and workflows responsibly
  • Ensure content meets E-E-A-T and consumer trust standards
  • Maintain editorial and disclosure standards appropriate for insurance and financial content
Requirements:
  • Experience assisting with editorial operations for a digital publisher, affiliate site, SaaS company, or comparison website
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop editorial, SEO, and content operations skills
  • An understanding of SEO, LLMs, and search-driven content
  • Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPressExcellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • A proactive, self-motivated communicator
Bonus Points:
  • Experience in insurance, pets, personal finance, fintech, or consumer publishing
  • Experience assisting with large-scale content refreshes
  • Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted publishing workflows
  • Experience with analytics tools like GA4, Ahrefs, or Search Console
  • Experience working with remote teams
