Job Description: The Assistant Director supports the daily operations of the center by providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to staff, students, and families. This position is responsible for coordinating and conducting teacher training to ensure instructional excellence, classroom management, and compliance with center policies and procedures. The Assistant Director works closely with teachers to monitor lesson implementation, assess student progress, and provide academic support to ensure children are meeting developmental and educational milestones in a nurturing learning environment. In addition, the Assistant Director manages employee scheduling and staffing needs to ensure proper classroom coverage and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable Texas Child Care Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star standards by conducting classroom observations, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Assistant Director serves as a positive role model for staff, promotes professionalism and teamwork, and helps foster a safe, organized, and engaging environment for children, families, and employees.
