Job Type: Full-Time
Shift:
2nd and 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:45 PM - 12:15 AM and 12am-8amPosition Overview We're seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Machinist with strong CNC programming and machine setup capabilities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC operating and 5+ years of CNC setup experience to support precision production.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components to specification.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters; optimize feeds/speeds.
Perform first-article inspections; hold tight tolerances and adjust offsets as needed.
Troubleshoot programs, tooling, and machine issues to improve throughput and quality.
Maintain accurate setup sheets, programs, and quality documentation.
Collaborate with Engineering and Production on process improvements and DFM.Follow all safety and quality procedures (e.g., ISO/AS standards).
Qualifications:
5+ years CNC programming experience (G-code and conversational controls).5+ years CNC machine setup experience, including precision alignment and tooling selection.
Strong blueprint reading; proficient with GD&T and inspection methods.
Proven problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training/apprenticeship preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Swiss lathes; Citizen machines highly preferred.
Experience with Okuma and Hurco CNC equipment.
Multi-axis CNC machining knowledge.
