What You'll Do: As a Claims Intern, you will perform various claims tasks. You will primarily be in charge of reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing documentation in relationship to auto and property claims. The day-to-day functions of this internship may change based on storm season claims and you will have other projects and duties as assigned. As an intern, you will also participate in corporate activities designed to provide exposure to our industry, organization, and culture. Our internship program follows an 80/10/10 approach: 80% of your time will be spent performing meaningful work and project-based assignments within your department. 10% of your time will be dedicated to learning from and networking with employees in other areas of the organization. 10% of your time will be spent participating in shared internship experiences that provide insight into our culture, leadership, and business operations. This opportunity is a great way for you to get your foot in the door and spend your summer gaining entry level insurance experience in claims, as well as general corporate real-world exposure. What It Takes to Join Our Team: Be a current college student (Agricultural, business, collision repair or insurance major preferred). A quick learner and able to obtain a basic understanding of auto and property insurance policies. Be an effective communicator, have excellent customer service skills, and be team focused. Be available to work at least 30 hours per week during the summer of 2027 from our office in Lincoln, Nebraska. Additional hours may be required, up to 40 hours per week. There is potential for this internship to extend beyond the summer 2027 semester into fall 2027 and beyond.
